Culturemondo Steering Committee meeting 2010 and Conference “What’s next in the Internet?”

Plurio.net is hosting the 2010 Culturemondo International Steering Committee (ISC) meeting in Luxembourg which takes place in the across border context of the Greater Region (Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium and France).

Plurio.net is a cooperation of the cultural administrations of the Greater Region aimed at developing cross-border cultural cooperation and presenting the cultural content of the Greater Region through www.plurio.net. This information is also available as a data feed, so that it can be accessed by new users and audiences.Plurio.net also aims to promote the European dimension in the Culturemondo network and to contribute to the preparation of the 6th Roundtable due to take place in Amsterdam in September 2010.

Plurio.net is hosting the ISC meeting 2010 and is organising meetings with local operators, as well as a one-day conference on June 30 in Luxembourg City to share the international expertise of the Culturemondo network with the regional cultural sector.

Conference, June 30, 2010: “What’s next in the Internet”?

In addition to hosting the ISC meeting, Plurio is organising as a one-day conference on June 30 in Luxembourg City to share the international expertise of the Culturemondo network with the regional cultural sector. Members of the Steering Committee (Seb Chan, Jane Finnis& Aleksandra Uzelac) and Experts from the Netherlands and the Greater Region will share their ideas and discuss the following questions:

  • What’s the next big trend in the Internet?
  • What is the added value of the use of Internet for cultural operators?
  • How can they make a better use of it?
  • How can I measure the success of my website?

The conference will provide translation French/English.

Culturemondo goes to PICNIC

The 6th International roundtable will take place in September 2010 as part of the fabulous PICNIC Festival in Amsterdam http://www.picnicnetwork.org/2010/index.html

In addition to the one day roundtable on Saturday 25th September, we are also hosting three-workshop sessions as part of the main festival that will be open to anyone to attend. Dates for these workshops are Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th September.

Details of the sessions are still in panning but will include presentations by Charles Leadbeater talking about issues from his recent Cloud Culture publication http://www.counterpoint-online.org/cloud-culture-promise-and-danger/ by the British Council's Counterpoint thinktank http://www.counterpoint-online.org/
