Wilson H. Tien
Wilson H. Tien is Project Manager for the Asia-Pacific Secretariat Office of Culture Mondo Network project and has worked as a consultant for the team. He is also Consultant for Taipei Computer Association (TCA), Secretary-in-General of Taiwan Embedded Industry Alliance (TEIA), and Executive Secretary of Taiwan Linux Initiative.
Wilson got his master degree from Computer Science Department of Indiana University, and worked for IT industry for a couple of years afterwards. Even with great career success, he made the decision to become a politician 15 years ago. During these years, he had taken many interesting and important positions, such as Taipei City Councilor and Director of International Affairs Department of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). After 15 years hard working, Wilson decided to retire from political field and moved back to IT industry.
Wilson's interest is broad and deep. He is interested in not only technology, but culture related issues. He is strong in strategic planning, assessment, coordination, and he is also very familiar with governmental process, Even not a politician anymore, he is still strongly motivated to work on public interest related projects, such as spread Free Software.
